     One would think that after winning an Academy Award, acting would be much easier. It
wasn't. Gwenyth Paltrow had found that, in many ways, it was even harder. After you win the
Oscar, people expect you be at your best in nearly every movie and not to disappoint at all. So far,
Gwenyth had managed to pick her projects well, but was still worried of the inevitable "Oscar

     The movie wasn't the sort of film one might expect an actress with her credentials to be
in. A romantic comedy set around karoke contests, it was a small film and Gwenyth was the only
major name in it. But she did like the script a lot and thought it would be a fun little film to do,
especially since her father was directing it. His illness had given her a bit of a scare but he seemed
to be all right now and hard at work. Gwenyth just hoped it would all work out right. Right now,
though, she was wrestling with one of the most difficult challenges the role had to offer her.
     Acting was one thing, singing another. Since karoke played such a big part in the movie,
